Paris City Guide
|
The cosmopolitan capital of France, Paris, located in the north of the
country on the river Seine, is known as the most beautiful and romantic
city. Having a great influence on culture, art, the world of fashion,
design and gastronomy, Paris is one of the leading cities in Europe. |
|
Paris housing 2.2 million people in the
center, while another 9.9 million live in the suburbs has turned into
one of Europe’s largest cities. Paris is also one of the most popular
tourist destinations in the world.
Paris is a charming city,
though if you visit it for the first time take your pocket dictionary
that will help you with the language. While young people might be
fluent in English, except for shop owners near tourist attractions the
rest of Frenchmen will have to make a considerable effort to help you
out in English. Keep in mind that French talk fast, swallow some
letters, and give prominence to the musicality of their speech.
When
you are asking for directions, try to find a young person who is not in
a hurry to help you. Always smile, phrases like “ Excuse me” might
work, keep your sense of humor .You might also carry a map with
so it is easier to get some answers even if you don’t really understand
each other language, may that be French or English. If you are so lucky
to speak French, just keep in mind two magic sentences that can work
wonders: "Excusez-moi de vous déranger" (‘Sorry to bother you’) and
"Pourriez-vous m'aider?" (Can you help me?).
Paris is enjoyable
all year long, whether you are in love or just want to be alone,
whether you want to have fun with friends or meet new
faces, the city provides perfect scenarios to all feelings
and all types of adventures.
