It is not hard to guess that the best and most enjoyable way to visit
the Vatican, which lays on less than half a square kilometer within its
walls, is on foot. Just stroll around the St.Peter Basilica and
the Vatican Museum, as not all areas are accessible for tourists. |

Vatican City is small indeed, but full of
beautiful sights, amazing art collections and not to mention the breath
taking architecture, so it might be a good thing to take one of the
many tours that are offered through the Vatican. You have to boo a tour
in advance, by phone, fax or Internet usually one month before your
trip to the Vatican. There are differences between tours, especially if
you are interested in architecture history and religion.

is best to first looks around, see what suits you the most and than
book. Keep in mind that usually entrance fees are not included in the
fee that you have to pay for the tour. With some tours you won’t
have to wait in the long line in order to get inside the Vatican
Museum, so this is already a plus point if you wish to enjoy your
