Some stations are really worth a look for their decorations!

It is also possible to travel by taxi, as they are pretty easy to get day and night wherever you might be in the city. Inform the driver where you wish to go and negotiate your fare before you start your journey! If you are not sure, just give the closest Metro station name that always works! Keep in mind that not many drivers speak English, so use your map! There are several taxi services functioning in the city, you will surely notice the yellow cars, belonging to the New Yellow Taxi (Novoye Zholtoye Taxi). They have a 250 rubles starting fee, however it is always possible to negotiate, but than do not expect to have the meter running!
