The Academia de Sciencias, with its giant watch from 1868 and the Palacio de Moya with its extraordinary wall-paintings deserve your attention. One of the most visited spots in Barcelona is the Mercado de La Boquería, a large market with a wide range of delicious food to offer.

A very popular meeting point is Plaça Reial, once the palace of the counts of Barcelona, today the heart of an artist district, creating a charming ambience with its cafes and pubs.
